Website and player-account privacy · Effective October 11, 2026
This page covers breakroomgaming.com and the shared Breakroom Gaming account used by browser and mobile games. Read the HookRush, Blastwing and Bug Splat policies for game-specific practices and supported versions.
Information used for your account
An account is optional for guest play and required for cloud saves, favorites, and leaderboard participation. Google or email/password sign-in identifies your account through Supabase. Passwords are processed by Supabase Auth; we do not store plaintext passwords in our game database. We use your account identifier, email address, chosen nickname, and session cookies to sign you in and keep your information separate from other players. Google sign-in requests basic identity information, not access to your Gmail inbox or Drive files. Email confirmation and password-reset messages are delivered through Resend.
Game progress and favorites
HookRush guest progress remains in memory for the current page session and is discarded when you leave or reload. Bug Splat and Blastwing keep guest progress in local browser storage; their game policies describe those saves. Guest runs are not submitted to account records or leaderboards. For signed-in players, we store your browser-game saves, favorites, completed game results, and associated times on our hosting provider’s database. This lets you continue across browsers and devices, see personal records, and track weekly goals. A temporary copy of the active save is held in the game while you play. Full Android and iOS gameplay saves are separate and do not sync with the website.
Bug Splat submits completed cleanup times and Endless Patrol scores for signed-in browser and mobile players, but its full progress and trophy save remains on the device. Its game/category, timing, wave and pest-count information is used to check score submissions. See Bug Splat privacy for details.
Starting with HookRush 1.2.0 and Blastwing 0.7.0 on Android and iOS, signing in before a run saves private personal records to the same account. HookRush sends mode, catch weight and outcome; Blastwing sends mode, points, outcome, enemy defeats, completed sectors and active duration. Start/end timestamps are recorded. These features do not upload full mobile saves, equipment or character portraits. Mobile sessions use OS-protected credential storage; passwords are not stored by the game. Guest and practice runs are excluded.
Public leaderboards are optional
Leaderboards are off for your account until you opt in. If you opt in, your nickname and eligible scores become public. Your email is not shown. The visibility choice applies across all three games. You can turn leaderboard participation off from your account; this hides your entries from all public boards.
Cookies, security, and hosting
Essential cookies maintain your sign-in session. The hosting and authentication providers process request and security information, such as IP addresses, device/browser information, and logs, to deliver and protect the service. We use short-lived request counters to limit abuse of sign-in and save features. We count page views and Play-button clicks in anonymous daily totals, retaining these totals for up to 180 days. We do not store visitor identifiers or full referrer addresses in these reports. Short-lived hashed request counters limit abuse. We respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. If you choose Allow analytics, Google Analytics uses cookies to measure website visits and interactions. Advertising storage and personalization are disabled. Account and admin pages are excluded. You can change your choice with Analytics preferences at the bottom of public pages. Website advertising is configured separately from analytics; see the advertising section below.
Optional website advertising
When AdSense approval and Auto ads setup are complete, our homepage and game information pages can show non-personalized Google ads after you choose Allow ads. Ad cookies are used for frequency capping, aggregated reporting, and fraud prevention. Google may process IP addresses, device/browser information, and ad interactions. We do not use your Breakroom account, email, nickname, or game records to personalize ads. Your advertising choice is separate from Google Analytics. No ad provider loads when you decline, or when Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control is enabled. Ads are excluded from game-player, account, library, admin, and privacy pages. Use Ad preferences on eligible public pages to change your choice. Declining does not prevent you from playing.
Website ads remain off in the EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland while a certified consent-message integration is being completed. Ads also remain off when our hosting service cannot determine a country. This temporary restriction does not affect access to the games.
Google explains its partner-site data use at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. Browser extensions, provider approval, ad inventory, and your privacy choice may mean no ad appears. Mobile app advertising is separate and is described in each game policy.
Your controls
From your account you can update your nickname, change leaderboard visibility, sign out, download your stored account data, or request account deletion. Account deletion removes your cloud saves, favorites, private online records and leaderboard records across all three games, and cannot be undone. It does not erase local mobile progress. Supported mobile versions also offer an in-game Delete account control. If automated deletion is unavailable, email breakroomgamingco@gmail.com from your account email address.
Clearing your browser’s site data signs you out and removes local preferences; it does not delete your cloud account. You can ask us about access, correction, or deletion by email. Rights depend on where you live.
Retention and support
We keep account data while you use the account, until you delete it or request deletion. Providers may retain security logs and backups under their own policies. We may retain records when required to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes. Messages you send to support are used to respond and investigate issues. We do not automatically subscribe account holders to marketing emails.
Players and providers
Our account service is intended for players 13 and older, not children under 13. Do not include sensitive personal details in your nickname or reports. We use HTTPS, but no storage or transmission method is completely secure.
Provider policies: Supabase, Resend, Cloudflare, and Google. Providers may process data outside your country.
